A practical method
A coverage question guide
A private list of document versions, unclear terms and questions for an authorised reviewer. Work through the prompts in your own notes. No information is submitted or saved here.
Risk and context
Write the broad exposure and who or what is involved. Gather actual valuations or personal details privately for an authorized reviewer.
Existing documents
Identify policies or obligations to bring, including dates and versions. Do not assume an old summary describes current coverage.
Wording questions
Ask about definitions, limits, exclusions, deductibles, waiting periods and conditions in the actual document. Note every term that remains unclear.
Claims and changes
Ask how an incident would be reported, what evidence may be required and how a change in circumstances or renewal is handled.
Qualified review
Verify the adviser or agent’s authority, role, compensation and conflicts. Obtain current official documents before any decision; this page makes none.
Record the outcome
- What is the proposed next step, and who owns it?
- What evidence supports it, and what remains unknown?
- What would make you pause or change direction?
- When will the decision be reviewed?
Keep private details in your own records. This is a reading guide, not a submission form.
